"The Inca" made history!
O jornal “O Inca” foi uma idéia que tivemos e colocamos em prática no dia 24 de setembro de 1988, com o lançamento de sua 1ª edição. O jornal surgiu para divulgar a história dos confederados na Amazônia, as coisas e os acontecimentos relacionados a ASDECON (Associação dos Descendentes de Confederados Americanos na Amazônia) e seus membros.
No início da circulação do jornalzinho o editor era Gerardo Monteiro Filho que contou com a colaboração de diversos parentes e amigos para seu sucesso. Posteriormente, tivemos também como editores e colaboradores os parentes Celson Vaughan, Fátima Monteiro, Nássara Vaughan, Natalice Vaughan, José Rocha Wanghon, Reinaldo Wanghon Monteiro, Irene Wanghon, etc.
O jornalzinho era bem divertido, trazia muitas novidades das famílias Vaughan-Jennings e era muito aguardado por seus leitores. A cada dois meses tinha uma edição e chegou a circular até o ano de 2001. Por falta de tempo e de editores o jornalzinho deixou de circular e em função disso teve sua publicação interrompida. Pode ser que com a nova geração de parentes chegando e com as novas ferramentas de mídia que temos hoje o jornalzinho volte a ser editado em breve.
O blog da ASDECON http://asdecon.blgospot.com foi criado no dia 10 de agosto de 2008 para suprir em parte a ausência do antigo jornalzinho.
Esperamos contar com a participação e ajuda dos parentes e amigos na edição do blog da ASDECON.

The newspaper "The Inca" an idea that we put in practice was and it began to be edited on September 24, 1988 to publish the confederates' history in the Amazonian, the things and the related events ASDECON (Association of the Descendants of American Confederates in the Amazonian) and their members.
In the beginning of the circulation of the News his/her editor was Gerardo Monteiro Filho that counted on the several relatives' cooperation and friends. Later, we also had as editors and collaborators the relatives Celson Vaughan, Fátima Monteiro, Nássara Vaughan, Natalice Vaughan, José Rocha Wanghon, Reinaldo Wanghon Monteiro, Irene Wanghon Monteiro, etc. The jornalzinho was very entertaining and very awaited by their readers. It was edited every two months and it got to circulate until the year of 2001.
For lack of time and of editors the News left of being edited and he/she had his/her interrupted publication. It can be that with the new generation of relatives arriving and with new media instruments as tool the News is edited soon again. The blog of ASDECON http://asdecon.blgospot.with/ it was created on August 10, 2008 to supply the absence of the old News partly.
