Segue abaixo texto do e-mail que recebemos do Sr. Al Sims, direto dos E.U.A., dando detalhes sobre James H. Vaughan, como se segue:

"This is the latest research on the family of Confederado James H. Vaughan. US census information is fairly reliable. Most of the children match the names mentioned in the rootsweb article on James H. Vaughan but some do not. Many of the children seemed to have Brazilian nicknames which would explain some of the confusion. The twins named in the rootsweb article seem to be in error.
I have photos of son Ethelender who remained behind in Nashville and step-son William Jennings, who returned to Nashville for his education then came back to Brazil. One unidentified photo seems to be a brother of William. They certainly have the same lower face and nose.

A maioria das crianças correspondem aos nomes mencionados no artigo RootsWeb sobre James H. Vaughan, mas alguns não. Tenho fotos do filho Ethelender que ficou para trás em William Jennings Nashville e filho-passo, que retornou a Nashville para a sua educação, em seguida, voltou ao Brasil. Uma foto não identificada parece ser um irmão de William. Eles certamente têm a mesma face inferior e nariz.
